Early C18 terrace. Each house 3 storeys and attic, 3 windows. Gently curved
mansard roofs, now in a variety of materials as follows
No 1 Slate and new hand made tiles.
No 3 Old pantiles and hand made tiles.
No 5 New pantiles and old hand made tiles.
No 7 Machine tiles and old hand made tmles.
No 9 Old pantiles and galvanised asbestos.
No 11 All galvanised asbestos.
Each has 2 flat dormers, the right one of No 7 enlarged. Brick fronts with-cornice
band and stone-coped parapet. 2nd floors of Nos 1 and 3 rebuilt after war damage.
Stucco 2nd floor bands. Gauged, slightly cambered brick arches to sash windows,
some with glazing bars, in flush moulded frames, (except No 3 which has later,
recessed sash windows).
Modernised C19 shops on forecourts. Rear elevations altered early C19 with canted
bays on ground and 1st floors. Modern rear extension to No 7.
All the listed buildings from Nos 1 to 15a (odd) form a group.
