Early C18 house of 3 storeys and basement, 3 windows. High pitched roof, now
slated in front and with modern pantiles behind. Early C19 mansard added to
part of back roof. One small section of original pantile remains. Multicoloured
stock brick with parapet. Most of 2 upper floors rebuilt after war damage, losing
gauged brick window arches, which, however remain on ground floor. Sash windows
without bars in near-flush moulded frames. Original door with lower panels fielded,
upper 4 glazed, in moulded architrave. Doorcase of panelled pilasters, carved,
scrolled consoles and modillion cornice. Inside a staircase of circa 1700 with
turned balusters, square newels and stout rail; and original shouldered fireplaces.
