Circa 1840. 3 storeys, 1 window, with narrow, 1-bay rounded angle to College
Approach and a 1-window return on that street, similar in style to the front.
Stucco. Heavily rusticated pilasters support cornice with large, scrolled brackets.
Above this a parapet with pilasters carrying stepped finials. 2nd floor sash
windows in plain reveals with bracketed cills. Blocked, round headed 2nd floor
window in angle. 1st floor Venetian windows have segmental central light with
triple keystone and impost blocks forming lintels of side lights. 1st floor
window on return blocked. In angle narrow, round headed window. All windows
sashes with glazing bars. Ground floor modernised shop fronts between wide,
rusticated pilasters with reeded borders. Panelled stallrisers. Heavy bracketed
cornice head and rectangular fanlight.

Nos 38 to 43 (consec) form a group.
