Mid C17 house of 2 storeys and attic, 2 windows. Wide proportions. Twin gables
back and front with ridges linked by central cross-ridge. Tiled roofs. Red brick
laid almost entirely in stretchers. lst floor band. Rendered front. Windows
mostly early C19 sashes with gazing bars, some replaced. C19 rendered brick porch.
C17 front door with raised borders. Inside a good staircase with strapwork balustrade
and heavily moulded rail. Inglenook now blocked but upstairs is an interesting
carved stone fireplace surround in "artisan mannerist" style. Old brickwork visible
in cellar. Sun insurance plaque dated 1781.
