The Bell Inn

Second quarter of C19 building in a style associated with early railway hotels.
3 storeys, 3 windows; double span, hipped, slated roof, of fairly low pitch, with
hipped ends to road. Painted brick with stuccoed cornice and blocking course.
Gauged, flat brick arches to later sash windows, the outer ones 3-light. On ground
floor a projecting loggia, with Roman Doric columns and altered entablature, extends
to the right where it has been filled to form an extra room.
