1879. By R N Shaw, an unaltered example of the second detached design. A
low profile design in red brick with a large and steeply pitched expanse of
tiled roof. Two storeys and attic. Shaped gable over entrance with gabled
porch all in a slight projection. Single storey bay with timber railing and
round headed window above, rising into roof as half dormer. Gabled dormer
in roof above entrance bay. Brick chimneys in roof slope. Illustrated on
p 206 of 'R Norman Shaw' by Andrew Saint.
