Originally founded in 1447; north range 1875 and parallel south range 1887. At
right angles to street. Red brick. Tile roof. Two storeys. North range has gable
end parapets with brick stacks, string-course between storeys, 6 windows and 3 blocked
window-openings, paired wooden casements under cambered heads. Three doorways with
hoods supported by brackets, tablet in gable-end. South range is taller. Gable end
to street has parapet and tall stack set to rear; front has string course and 3-light
stone mullioned windows. Wrought-iron railings between the ranges along the street
front. Curved lamp brackets over single gates to left and right.
