Mid C18 house refronted in C19 with considerable later additions. Two storey,
red brick with slated gambrel roof. Original house of 5 bays, recessed square
headed sash windows, raised band course between ground and 1st floor, moulded
stucco cornice, rendered parapet with stone coping. Three flat-topped dormers.
Recent neo-Georgian glazed porch. End stacks with ornamental C19 chimney
pots. Two bay extension to the south continuing the fenestration of the main
block, with 2 storey canted bay on south wall. Early C19 rear addition of
2 storeys rendered, with shallow-pitched slated roof and wide eaves on thin
paired brackets.
Interior has stair of mid C18 character with moulded rail and turned balusters.
Some panelling remains. (RCHM27).
