Four symmetrical blocks of 4 mid-late C19 houses in yellow brick with stucco dressings.
2 storeys and attic, 1O windows in each block, the 3rd and 7th being 2-storey canted
bays. Entablature and blocking course above lst floor. Over this a raised attic,
with pitched roof and arcaded windows, well set back. In centre andends the attic
is brought forward flush with front, for 2 bays and finished with bracketed cornice,
In Nos 1-8 and 9-16 there is a raised pediment in place of the central projecting
attic. All these centrepieces are flanked by tall brick chimneys and set back
tall bargeboarded gables with stepped, round headed lights. Plain sash windows,
those on ground and 1st floors with shouldered moulded lintels. The canted bays
have cast iron guards to wide 1st floor cills with paired brackets forming lozenge
panels below, Half-glazed doors and tall fanlights, both with sidelights, the
inner doors of each block paired in paired quasi-classical porch. Matching surround
to outer doors.

Nos 2 to 56 (even) together with the forecourt walls to Nos 2 to 6 (even)
form a group with Nos 24 to 54 (even) Manor Road.
