School. 1890-3. T J Bailey, LCC Architects' Dept. Red brick, stone dress-
ings. Tiled roof. Almost symmetrical. Three to four storeys. Seven bay
centre divided by shallow buttresses. Left and right Dutch-gabled wings,
slightly advanced, of three bays. Four window wide linking wings. Battle-
mented parapet to centre block with two dormers and central fleche of timber
and lead. Windows mainly with timber mullions and transomes, small paned
with glazing bars. Tall chimneys. Rear facade also of interest. Most
prominently sited and intact of a series of early T J Bailey schools in the
Listing NGR: TQ2447076863
