Row of cottages 1922-23. Designed by George Walton. Brick, rendered to upper
floor; low pitched hipped slated roof to prominent eaves 2 storeys. Each cottage
except No 53 of 5 windows wide, of irregular width (No 5 of 4 windows wide.) Square
headed windows with metal frames and glazing bars; small panes. Square headed
entrances with rectangular fanlights and timber doors. Doorways alternately placed
to right side and to left of houses. nos 43-49 suffered war damaged but,fully
restored to original design. A rare late work by George Walton.
