Late C18. Principal facade faces away from road. Three-storeys. Five-bays.
Purple/yellow stock brick under rebuilt red brick parapet. Gauged flat arches
to sash windows with glazing bars, Doric pilastered doorcase with triglyph frieze.
C19 two-bay, 3-storey extension to right. Copper-roofed timber verandah with central
bay window over. Interior remodelled early C20 and main entrance resited on south-
east side. Home of Matthew Arnold 1868-1873.
