Crow's Nest Farmhouse
TQ 08 NE 41/38
Mid C16 house of 2 storeys, 2 bays with left rear wing forming an L-shape.
Timber framed with C18 brick skin on front, having brick dentil covnice. Old
tiled roof with central compound stack, 1st floor windows early C19 sashes,
ground floor windows early C20 square bays. C18 door, with pedimented doorcase,
in modern trellis porch. On ends visible timber framing with painted brick
filling. At back right a long lean-to probably of late C17 date. Much very
stout timber visible inside and a side- purlin roof with heavy wind braces.
Some Elizabethan panelling in an upstairs room.
