C17 timber framed cottage with gable end to road. 2 storeys. Tiled roof.
Walls partly rendered and partly of painted brick. 2 windows on south front
late Cl9 or early C20 casements; and some exposed framing. Road front shows
modern casement on 1st floor and modern double shop front of old fashioned
type, with small panes, on ground floor. Doorframe is older, however, and there
are exposed chamfered beams inside. Lean-to on north side.
