Late mediaeval hall house of Wealden type. 2 storeys, 3 bays. The centre
(hall) bay floored and brought forward to give the appearance of a continuous
jettied front. All timbers exposed, those on front fairly close set, the rest
of open square framing. Filling partly plaster and partly brick. Very high
pitched roof, now half-hipped, of crown-post construction. Old tiles, with
some C19 slate diapering. Off-centre chimney. Much timber and original fireplace
visible inside.
