Probably C17 with late Cl8 left extension stretching back, of brownish brick
with brick dentil cornice. Main front part has mid C19 stuccoed parapet front
of 2 storeys, 2 windows. Steeply pitched roof with hipped end to road and
compound stack of old brick. All roofs tiled. Mid C19 sash windows with vertical
bars. Central double door in modified entablature surround. Right return shows
2 mid-Cl9 canted oriels on 1st floor. Some chamfered beams inside.

The Five Bells Inn forms a group with Tower House, The Vicarage and the Sun House.
