The Conifir Cafe

TQ 0682 23/389 8.5.50.
Probably early C16 building with C18 and C19 Tudor front. 2 storeys, 3 windows.
The left bays have slightly projecting gables with Victorian bargeboards.
High pitched roof renewed in machine tiles. Front pebbledashed and painted
but showing C18 brick dentil cornice in right bay. 1st floor casements under
hoodmoulds. Modern shops on ground floor. Exposed timbers inside. Part of
roof shows side purlins; with wind braces but not all can be seen.

The Red Lion Public House, the Conifir Cafe and A W Smith & Sons and the Cottage
Hotel form a group.
