The De Burgh Arms
Public House
TQ 08 SE 44/405
Late C16. Main front range and 2 gabled rear wings, joined together, at right angles.
Front and much of interior remodelled circa 1840. 2 storeys and attic, 3 windows.
High pitched tiled roof with 3 symmetrical gables, the centre one lower. Stucco.
1st floor and attic C19 and modern casements. Ground floor early C19 sash
windows with glazing bars. Set high above road with front retaining wall below
open loggia whose wood posts support a cast iron 1st floor balcony, 1-storey
early Cl9 left extension with cellar door below.
