Hillingdon House


C18 origin but stuccoed and otherwise altered especially after a fire in 1844
when the architect was George Mair. General form is 'H' shaped with single
storey infill to recessed fronts. Main parts of 2 storeys with 3 to spire.
Altered mansards roofs with dormers. Entrance front with bowed Doric portico
and Venetian windows at either side with lunettes above. Quoins to rear which
is otherwise plain. Simple, mid C19 interior.
