C17 and later. Originally a 2-bay, lobby-entry house facing south (at right angles
to the road) probably dating from the C17, perhaps originally timber-framed,
re-faced wth brick in the C18. During the C18, a larger brick-built range was added
at the rear, and during the earlier C19, the present more formal, symmetrical front
facing Portsmouth Road was added. This is of brown brick, two storeys high and 5
bays wide with a central doorway behind a later C19 porch. Square gauged brick
headed sash windows. Parapet. The roofs to the two earlier ranges are tiled,
hipped at their west ends.
