Mid C18 house of 2 storeys and sunk basement, 5 bays. Projecting
flanking l-bay wings added, probably early C19. These have arcaded
ground floor, that on left with 2-bay return, on right 1 bay only.
No 36 is 3 bays of house plus right wing, No 36A the remainder.
Multicoloured stock brick with parapet front above wood modillion cornice
added later. No cornice to wings. Gauged flat brick arches to recessed
sash windows with glazing bars, some replaced, in stucco lined reveals.
Stone or cemented lintels to windows in wings. Main door of 8 panels
(4 fielded and 4 now glazed) in narrow moulded architrave. Doric porch
has open pediment and cornice broken back, both with modillions. Similar
door, under high, bracketed flat hood, inserted in left angle for No 36A.

Nos 28 to 36A (even) form a group.
