Picturesque Tudor style building of mid-late C19 in the more elaborate
style of George Devey. 2 storeys, and attic, 5 bays on main north front.
Red brick with diaper of pale grey headers and freestone dressings. High
pitched slated roof with many gables; and rows of conjoined chimney shafts
with cornices in several planes. Front much broken back and forward. 2nd
bay from left is 1/2-octagonal projection with hipped roof having a dormer
in each face. From the right angle projects a slim octagonal tower with swept
spire of fishscale slates. l-storey projecting bay on right return has
parapet with quatrefoil panels. Some additions to south and east.
