Early C19 pair, originally,in the simpler Amon Henry Wilds style.
No 37 altered in mid C19, and given new face of 3 storeys and
basement, 3 windows, rather narrow bays. Fairly low pitched hipped
slate roof reaching only half way along building; parapet to
remainder. Stucco. Moulded Architraves to sash windows with margin
lights and blind cases. Console bracketed cornices to ground floor
windows. 4-panel door with pilasters, moulded cornice head and
patterned fanlight. No 39 retains facade of 1 wide bay and a
narrower bay set back; but windows altered similar to No 37. Stucco.
Centre bay defined by tall pilasters with segmental arch over.
Ground floor casement windows with blind cases. Door as No 37. Both
houses have 4 steps with cast iron handrails.
Nos 3 to 41 (odd) form a group.
