1868-70 by J F Bentley for W R Sutton, founder of the Sutton Housing Trust.
Red brick, with stone dressings and clay tiled roof, in Tudor-Gothic style
with some "Queen Anne" decorative touches. Two wide bays, that on left
projects and has two storeys and attic. Full height projecting square bay
has five-light stone mullioned and transomed windows. Row of panels of
brick paterae and fancy brickwork in gable peak. Similar brickwork to top
frieze around left bay which extends to form parapet of right bay whose
attic floor is set back behind a roof terrace. On ground floor left is a
corner window then a wide brick buttress with a stone head (carved with a
sunburst and word AVE) flanked by stepped brick corbels supports the bay
projection. Next a deep entrance porch under a two-centred arch has door
with linenfold panelling. Right bay has two-light windows, each different
in detailing. Good rainwater head at right. Tall brick chimneys with
pilasters and cornices.

No 118 (Sunnydene) shall be amended to read No 108 (Sunnydene).
