Early C19 terrace of pseudo semi-detached houses. Similar to Nos 37 to 55. Two
storeys and basement. Stucco. Pilasters to centre of corners. Four windows. Ground
floor French casements. Cast-iron balconys. Round-headed sashes to first floor.
Overhanging eves to low pitched slate roof. Entrance recessed at sides. No 44 does
not conform. Cornice on consoles over ground floor windows. First floor window
architrave surround with cill on brackets, no cill band or archivolt band.
