Small early C19 group of stock brick, parapet-fronted houses, all with basements.
Three, two and three storeys, respectively. No 53 is one window wide with bowed
front, the others two. Gauged flat brick arches to replaced sash windows, long
on first floor of Nos 55 and 57, the latter with cast iron balconies. All have
four-panel doors; No 53 in deep stuccoed reveal under lintel; No 55 with cornice
head and plain fanlight under round brick arch with impost blocks; No 57 with
cornice head and plain fanlight in round architrave on narrow pilasters, in stuccoed
panel.
