Early C19 terrace, each 3 storeys, attic and sunk basement, 2 windows. Slated
and tiled mansards with later C19 dormers. Arranged in pairs. Stock brick with
parapets, some rebuilding at top. No 56 has stuccoed ground floor. Gauged flat
brick arches to sash windows, about half with glazing bars. Doors of 6-fielded
panels with cornice head and plain fanlight in elliptical moulded architraves
with key block and impost string. Doorcase has panelled pilasters and console
bracketed dentil cornice. Cast iron area railings with spearhead standards and
urn finials. No 56 has lost doorcase.
