Garden Temple in back garden of No 14 (Temple House)

Circa 1730-40. Tetrastyle Ionic pedimented portico in wood and plaster. Pulvinated
frieze, modillioned cornice, and blank shield of arms with foliage swags in tympanum.
Soffit of architrave with Greek key ornament. Apsidal interior (open) with enriched
stucco ceiling with oval panel, pulvinated frieze and cornice. Paved floor.
The temple is open without any attached room at the rear, and is a good example
of its kind.
