Probably early C18. Pair of Portland stone piers of rusticated form with applied
pilasters having enriched panels and Corinthian capitals, cornice and pedestal,
finials missing. The sides of the piers bear the interlaced monograms of Sir
Richard Child, first Earl of Tylney. Part of the Colen Campbell rebuilding
One of the original entrances to Wanstead Park.
