1903, by William Burgess. Classical. Symmetrical one storey station building.
The west elevation has a projecting centre flanked by long wings. Red brick.
Cream stone quoins. Granite plinth. Wide arched central entrance. Windows
with round arched heads and double hung sashes with glazing bars. Windows
in the end projections tripartite with Doric columns and shallow swags below.
Small domed cupola in centre. The station for Dr Barnardo's Village Home and
used by visiting Royalty and other important personages.
