GV II

Monument erected 1871 by City Corporation. William Haywood, engineer. Three-stage
stone monument with cross at top. Decorated Gothic style with grey granite panels
to four faces, one only inscribed. Four standing female figures to corners of second
stage. One monster survives to first stage. Monument erected in connection with
bodies removed from St Andrew's, Holborn and St Sepulchre, London for Holborn Viaduct
Street improvement.
