Gasholder 1872: Engineers: Clark & Kirkham. Cast iron circular. Two superimposed
storeys of columns surrounding telescoped steel drums. Doric columns below, simpli-
fied Ionic above. Entablature blocks linked by filigree cast iron bands. One amongst
an imposing group of seven gasholders.
