Block of houses with shops to ground floor. 1720 with alterations and additions
of 1907 by Thomson and Pomeroy. Stock brick, red brick dressings. Parapet; roof
not visible. C19 shop fronts to ground floor; plate glass. 3 storeys. Irregular
7-bay composition. 3-bay portion to left side C18 with segmental flush framed,
horned, sashed windows; glazing bars. To right of this a 2-storey canted bay window
rising through first and second storeys; 16 paned sashes. To right of this a late
C19 linking bay with round headed entrance. To far right 2 canted 2 storey bay
windows to first and second floors. Red brick band between first and second floors.
Modillion eaves cornice. Prominent corner site. London 2: South B Cherry and
N Pevsner.
