10/68 Long Lodge
Detached house, now offices. Late C18, and later. Plum and stock brick. Old tiled
pitched roof to parapet. 2 storeys. Central 3-bay range of plum brick with later,
slightly advanced 4-bay ranges to right and left. Square gauged brick headed sashed
windows, flush framed to centre range and horned and recessed to outer ranges.
Glazing bars. Square headed entrances to either end of left wing and to left of
right wing, those to right and centre architraved and corniced, the centre one also
pedimented. Late C20 doors. Centre range with rebuilt pediment. Interior not
inspected. Once the home of Frederick Shields, the pre-Raphaelite painter.
