Detached house. 1897. Designed by C W Stephens. Portland stone. Green slate
steeply pitched roof to parapet. 2 storeys plus dormers. 11 bays, grouped in
rhythm 3-1-3-1-3. Entrance to fourth bay from right in projecting porch with
square fluted Doric pilasters. Outer triplets of bays project slightly each
with 2 storey bay window and gable to roof. Central 5 bays also gabled. Square
headed windows, decorated lintels, sashes, mainly plate glass. String courses
between storeys and above first floor. Modillion cornice above first floor
to centre 5 bays. Traceried panels. Tall chimneys. Attached 1-storey/1 bay
wing to right.
