Mid C19. Stock brick with coped parapet, centre recessed portion coped above. Facade also to Gowers Walk. 3 storeys, 12 windows with segmental red heads to those of top and ground floors. All glazing bars. White cornice at 1st floor sill level. Red and blue brick dressings, 3 carriageway doors in central position. Large, later office windows with small panes at northern end ground floor.

New Loom House and Chandlery House form a group with the wool warehouse at No 74 Ellen Street.
