Early C19 pair of houses. Stock brick with narrow, central, recessed, full
height panel. Hipped slate roof with wide bracketed eaves soffit. Stucco
basement and stuccoed string course at 1st floor sill height. 3 storeys and
basement, 2 sash windows each, those of ground and 1st floors set in double
segmental brick arches. Doorcases with stucco panelled pilasters, cornice
hood and entablature. Doors with arched panels. Area railings with arrow
head finials.

Nos 2 to 44 (even) and Nos 1 to 27 (odd) form a group with Nos 35 to 49 (consec)
Arnold Road and Nos 1 to 25 (consec) Tomlins Grove.
