C19 Victorian Tudor. Red brick, stone dressings and slate roof. Corner tower
coped gables and parapet. 2 storeys and basement, 2 windows, to road facade,
with mullions and transoms and leaded lights. Good elevation viewed from adjoining
recreation ground. Later end chapel.

Pope John House, the piers and wall to Poplar Recreation Ground and the Memorial
in Poplar Recreation Ground form a group with No 133 and its piers opposite.
