Circa 1720. Brown brick and stucco ground floor to No 30. 4 storeys, 2 and 3
windows respectively. Parapet. Segmental arches to windows with double hung
sashes in flush frames with glazing bars. No 28. Wood Doric doorcase with flat
rusticated pilasters. No 30. Wood doorcase with engaged plain Ionic columns,
pulvinated frieze and bracketed cornice with pediment, rotund headed doorway with
carved head on key of archivolt and moulded caps to rusticated imposts. Wrought
iron railings to entrance steps. No 28. Mediaeval plan survival as Nos 5 and
7.

The road surface of Elder Street, with Nos 1 to 23 (odd) and Nos 24 to 36
(even) form a group with Nos 9 and 10 and the road surface of Fleur de Lys
Street.
