Date stone 1874 but factory founded in 1861. Commended for the excellence of its
working conditions as early as 1862.
Administrative building of stock brick with red and bluc brick dressings. Brick
and stone capped eave cornice. Roof not visible. 3 storeys, 15 bays width.
Southern 3 bays and 1 to north of entrance have gothic arches containing 1st and
2nd floor windows. Windows mostly unbarred sashes. Entrance asymmetrically placed.
Pediment above alsightly advanced entrance block with central gothic arch. Clock
in tympanum with stone shields and bas relief carving. Stone faced ground floor
with entance doors; flanking windows and decorative plaques with the firm's
