C18 early. Stock brick with red brick window dressings. Coped parapets. Stucco
ground floor. 3 windows. No 17 has 3 storeys. Flush gauged window arches (those
of top floor now rendered). Brick band above 1st floor. Ground floor shop.
Nos 19 and 21 are of 4 storeys. Segmental arches to 1st floor windows, gauged
flat arches 2nd and 3rd floors. Double hung sashes in flush frames, some glazing
bars. Brick band above 2nd floor. Ground floor of No 19 altered office windows
Ground floor of No 21 was altered, probably about 1800, to a wide canted bay with
2 windows with an entablature with dentil cornice. The door has panelled pilasters
and a plain fanlight. (Survey of London Page 79 Vol XXVII.)

The road surace of Folgate Street, Nos 5 to 11 (odd) & 11A, Nos 17 to 21 (odd),
No 27 and Nos 6 to 18 (even) form a group.
