C19 early terrace houses, stock brick, roof not visible. 3 storeys and basement.
2 windows each. 2nd floor windows have gauged flat arches, those of 1st floor
have rectangular sashes set in round headed recessed arches. All sash windows
with glazing bars. Ground floors have later round headed sash windows without
glazing bars. Plain band course at 1st floor sill level. Doorways have shallow
arches with fanlights (that of No 6 has decorative ironwork) and panelled pilasters.

The road surface of Folgate Street, Nos 5 to 11 (odd) & 11A, Nos 17 to 21 (odd),
No 27 and Nos 6 to 18 (even) form a group.
