Early C19. "St Mathews House" inset in tiles on entrance floor. Yellow stock
brick, ground floor grooved and rendered. Parapet with cornice. Hipped roof.
2 storeys and basement, 5 windows, all sashes, under gothic arches with keystones.
Side elevation to churchyard has 10 windows mostly with gothic glazing bars.
Gothic arch to doorway from St Mathew's Row with keystone and plain impost caps.
Iron area railings with spear head finials and 4, round headed, decorative panels.

The listed buildings in St Mathews Row form a group with the Parish Watch House,
Wood's Close.
