4431 The Royal Mint

TQ 3380 21/714
Circa 1811. Architect John Johnson with later alterations by Sir Robert Smirke.
Stone with rusticated ground floor. Stone stacks and slate roof. 3 storeys.
Centre 5 bays have Doric order through 1st and 2nd floors with engaged columns
under pediment. Royal Arms in tympanum. End 3 bays with flat pilasters. Over
all, Doric entablature and balustraded parapet.
