C19, mid. Red brick with geometric designs, stucco dressings and tiled roof.
Coped gables with finials and kneelers. 2 storeys, 2 bays on ground floor with
mullions and transom, all have relieving arches above. Some modern glazing, some
leaded glazing remains. Gabled central porch with Tudor arch.

The Lodge at Crown Gate West forms a group with the Royal Cricketers Public
House, The Crown Hotel, The Victoria Veneer Mills Ltd, Nos 236 to 256 (even)
and Nos 274 to 302 (even) Old Ford Road.
