C19. 4 massive gate piers. Red brick square centres with double white stone
rusticated pilasters. Large stone caps surmounted by paired scroll brackets on
each side. Domed heads with iron bases of former lamps. The piers form the termination
to the view from Approach Road, with its listed buildings.
