Pair of mid 18th century houses. 3 storeys. Multi-coloured stockbrick. Each house 5 window bays wide. Parapet. Slate roof. Nos 137-139 incomplete and reduced to first floor level. Gauged flat red brick arches to recessed sash windows sub-divided by glazing bars. Stone cills. Heavy brick cornice to second floor level. Later projecting shop fronts obscure ground storeys.

Nos 137-139 retains original interior ornament including good panelled first floor rooms with cornices, dadoes, and chimney pieces. Some original elements survive in Nos 133-135 including panelling, cornices, fine carved wooden chinnieypieces with egg and dart ovolo mouldings and a remnant of original staircase.
