Accommodation bridge. 1830, C20 alterations. Slightly cambered cast iron girder
deck with open, geometric iron parapet railing on east side, protected by iron mesh screens. West side has iron mesh screens only. Brick abutments and wing walls with brick band, stone quoins and stone copings. Concrete and asphalt road surface. The bridge is contemporary with the opening of the Hertford Union Canal. Scheduled ancient monument; Gtr London 138.
