Chest tomb. C1777, designer unknown. Stone. Neo-classical style.
Rectangular plan. Long sides with carved inscribed roundels
flanked by pilasters at angles with carved high relief Adam
inspired lachrymal vases. Short ends with recessed oval panels
flanked by fluted pilasters. Continuous moulded cornice breaks
forward above pilasters. Shallow pyramidal cover. John Smart was
a distiller of Limehouse.
