Built circa 1867 for the writer William Hale White, better known as 'Mark Rutherford'.
Architect, Vinall, a pupil of Philip Webb.
2 storeys; lower of yellow brick, upper tile-hung with 2 gables to front. Tiled
roof. Paired and 3-light sash windows. Small porch at north side. Bay window
at south side with timber-framed gable over and panels of pargetting, Large billiard
room or studio added at rear with stores below.
